Concrete iron is iron used for reinforcement of concrete construction or more popularly referred to as reinforced concrete. Concrete reinforcing iron basically consists of two forms, namely Plain Iron or Plain Bar and Deformed Bar
Reinforced concrete is a term used to refer to concrete that is reinforced using reinforcing bars. Concrete itself is a mixture of cement, water, fine aggregate (sand), and coarse aggregate (gravel or crushed stone) which is used as a construction material. Concrete has a fairly good compressive strength, but has weaknesses in resisting tensile stress. To overcome this drawback, reinforcing steel is placed in the concrete before the concrete hardens.
